I've eaten here weekly since 1969. Still my favorite. They originally introduced me to Mexican food in a true family tradition.

This place was horrible! We had out of town guests and wanted to take them out for dinner. If I had known how bad our experience was going to be, I never would have come here. The place was almost empty when we arrived. The dining area was run down and did not give the impression that cleanliness was a priority. We were offered free chips and salsa and it's a good thing we were as we would have starved if they had not been available. Even though the chips were cold, greasy and smashed they did tide us over as we waited and waited and waited for our food. The food was remarkably boring for Mexican food. We will not be returning.

OMG...if only I had read the previous review. We started out from our motel looking for a spot nearby at 8 on Sunday nite. No cars at any of the nearby spots so we said what da heck lets try Mexican. Not a sole in the restaurant. . . . decided to take out rather than sit so conspicuously alone. Decided all was cool when we read the Local Choice awards for multiple years hung on the wall. Got our food, drove back to the motel, opened our styro boxes to discover the MOST disgusting globs of food. Shrimp Enchilada was as stated 4 small shrimp on top of one enchilada with some horrible grey paste inside plus sticky rice and pastie beans. The Especialle Enchiladas...were 5 ground beef enchiladas, the tortillas of which seemed to have been soaked all day. No flavor, terrible consistency and with two beers certainly NOT worth $27.00. Make Casa Zamora. . . Casa No Mora.

One of the poorest excuses for a Mexican restaurant that I have ever been a patron. All the food tasted like it had been cooked that morning and put into a microwave when ordered. Steep prices for very little food. Would go to Taco John's before I ever ventured into here again.

I thought the food was good. But we had a party of 9 and we waited 90 minutes for our food. I want to like this place but the prices are high and food comes out slow. The nachos although different do not hold any value. It is a crispy tortilla sliced on a plate with cheese on top.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
